Software Product Manager

Postion Summary

As Product Manager you will lead the development of PC, Mac, and Online applications for the Logitech digital home and business products group in Utah. Candidates will be managing the entire product lifecycle by driving market and customer research, distilling insights into original product concepts and requirements, developing robust business cases, and overseeing global product launches. The Software Product Manager requires a passion for customer insight, balance of creativity and analytical skills, excellent understanding of software and online service applications, and an ability to evangelize new products. This is a leadership position. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and thrive in a global, multi-cultural and cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in the digital home and business market and solution.
  • Collaborate closely with upper management to define and execute growth strategies with emphasis on new product introductions.
  • Develop and distill target market strategies, translate customer needs into product roadmaps, document product definitions, and monitor customer feedback.
  • Lead cross-functional marketing teams in launching new products.
  • Manage global product portfolio including pricing, positioning, and lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with corporate and regional marketing to create and PR programs.
  • Evangelize product line and strategy to teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
  • Track, document, and position against competitors.
  • Demonstrate exceptional understanding of software and online application trends and technologies.
  • Select and direct the work of research, design, and marketing vendors.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Passion for customer insight, design, and best-in-class user experience.
  • Ability to synthesize customer data into core insights that drive product development.
  • Skill in development of cogent product marketing documents including product requirement documents, positioning documents, and creative briefs for internal and external teams.
  • Talent for building relationships with engineering, sales regions, and business partners.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis of product ROIs and P&Ls, budgeting, and demand forecasting.
  • Understanding of excellent User Interface design and testing.
  • Confidence in presentations with ability to command an audience.
  • Proven oral and written skills. Additional language fluency desirable.
  • Experienced in retail marketing: pricing, positioning, packaging, distribution, forecasting, placement, and demand generation.
  • Knowledge web marketing, advertising, PR, channel merchandising and other forms of promotion.
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in consumer packaged goods marketing, consumer electronics marketing, advertising, and/or related management consulting.
  • BA in science, engineering or business. MBA is a plus.
  • Desire and flexibility for domestic and international travel.

Electrical Engineer

Postion Summary

As a Logitech Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and development of digital and analog products for our digital home and business products group in Utah. This position will include responsibility for research, architectures, PCA design, component selection, and testing for video, networking, and management applications that meet both product feature and cost goals. You will also be responsible for setting development schedules, daily planning, and evaluating results. The products you build will be distributed and sold worldwide through retail channels. This is a key position with opportunities for early advancement. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and thrive in a global, multi-cultural and cross-functional environment.

Educational Requirement:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Master’s degree a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and implementation of digital cameras, network video recorders, network devices, sensors, and controllers.
  • Evaluate product marketing requirements and document technical product specifications.
  • Design products using DSPs, microprocessors, CMOS sensors, USB, Ethernet, Wireless, Powerline, and other core technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend core components from competing vendors for best performance, functionality, and cost results.
  • Implement and debug prototypes and reference designs.
  • Set product test plans and design product test fixtures and processes.
  • Qualify designs for international compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Use standard circuit, PCB, and simulation design tools in daily work.
  • Travel to our manufacturing sites in Asia to support, validate, and qualify production.
  • Work with worldwide manufacturing, QA, software, mechanical, and product groups.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with digital and analog design, component selection, PCB layout, and prototyping.
  • Experience delivering products using microprocessors, DSPs, sensors, networking, embedded systems, and switching power supplies.
  • Ability to translate market product requirements to technical specifications.
  • Understanding of how to define and design manufacturing quality tests and fixtures.
  • Experience with CAD tools for schematic capture and analysis.
  • Knowledge of international compliance and regulatory standards.

Senior Software Engineer

Position Type: Full Time, Salaried, Full benefits

Location of Position: Draper, UT

Postion Summary

Develop the next generation of online surveillance video management and control application for WiLife’s Award-winning video security system.  This person will use Service Oriented Architectures and Web 2.0 techniques to deliver live and recorded video and other services on Browsers, Client Applications, and Mobile devices.  Plan to use C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, AJAX, T-SQL, Flash and other tools, in the development process. The job requires a degreed software guru with exceptional understanding of algorithms, object-oriented development, attention to detail, and excellent design and communications skills.

Requirements

  • MS or BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Exceptional knowledge of object-oriented softare engineering and service-oriented architectures 
  • Proven understanding of usability and interaction design/Human-Computer Interaction
  • Proven network application design, implementation skills, and ability to deliver appropriately scoped quality software on-time
  • Proven ability working with web development technologies including JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, and to deal with cross-platform issues 
  • Solid data-layer design and development skills, including database design and performance tuning and writing efficient T-SQL.

Senior Software QA Engineer

Position Type: full time, salary

Location of Position: Draper, UT

Position Summary

The Senior Software QA Engineer will own and direct a large portion of the WiLife software testing effort. This includes developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for the WiLife’s Digital Video Security System, which includes Windows software, online applications, and digital camera firmware. The QA engineer will be responsible for installing/configuring software, hardware, and services in various test environments; developing and executing test plans; analyzing test results; to ensure that existing functionality runs accurately; file bug reports and recommend possible corrective action if functionality fails to meet expectations.

Candidate must be smart, fast-paced, and career-minded. As the company continues to grow, expect the work to be challenging, intense and fun.

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in all WiLife products and applications
  • Drive improvements in WiLife products and applications
  • Plan and document the Quality Assurance testing plans for new product releases
  • Write test scripts, execute test plans, document results, and other Quality Assurance work
  • Participate in development and use of automated testing tools
  • Analyze any defects identified, create bug reports and track all problem reports to closure
  • Verify quality delivery of products to the client, within the specific project constraints

Engineering Intern

The WiLife Engineering Intern works closely with our software, electrical, mechanical, and online engineering teams to test, evaluation, and improve our systems. This includes installing and configuring WiLife software, digital cameras, and online services in various test environments. Computer Software/Firmware Engineer, Applications

Position Type: full time, salaried, full benefits

Location of Position: Draper, UT

Postion Summary

The Software/Firmware engineer will design and implement a network stack in C/C++ for LukWerks software on Windows platforms. The Software/Firmware engineer will also design and implement a network stack in C/C++ for firmware to run on a TI DM642/DM640 DSP platform. The Software/Firmware engineer will develop firmware applications in C /C++ on TI DM642/DM640 platform. The Software/Firmware engineer will develop test programs to test the network stack for LukWerks in Visual C++/MFC on Windows platforms.

Requirements

Candidate will have an MS in Computer Science (or foreign equivalent degree) or related field and demonstrate expertise in:

  • TCP/IP protocols;
  • Programming in a multi-threaded real-time environment;
  • Digital Signal Processing and the TI DSP architecture
  • C/C++ programming on the TI DM642/DM640 DSP platform.
  • Must have ability to work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.
